6:30 am - Finally made it to Cali, and am very sad that my trip is coming to an end. It was wonderful, and well worth it!
Its a beautiful day out here today, and am looking forward to hitting my new home in San Luis Obispo.

I won't be taking that exact route, but it will give you an idea of where i am heading. I will be going through Bakersfield, and some nice mountain ranges.
3:00 pm - Made it to the beach! San Luis Obispo, finally in my new home

The drive through the mountain range was breath taking! I would say it was the best drive of my life. The hills were so vividly colorful and live. Before you get on route 166, there's a sign that says: "Drive carefully, your life depends on it." Reason being: your so caught up with the view, that you lose track of the road, and could swerve off.
I am anxious to get up in there and hike them hills! My apartment is located right near a state beach, so i get a nice variety of people on the beach. Many of the houses in my neighborhood are vacation rentals. The main strip is just one block from my house. This is great, as i don't have to drive far to get supplies.
I already located an organic farm, and bought two huge boxes of fruits and vegetables for $40.00! Avocados, mango's, bananas, broccoli, are dirt cheap. I also found a natural food store, and located a nearby Trader Joe's. Still looking for a gym however.
I can see the ocean right from my computer desk and bed. At night, i keep the window open and can here the ocean waves meeting the sand. There's also a fresh breeze that comes off the Pacific that keeps you cool. The ocean here is so beautiful because of the contrast with the mountains. It's a paradise!
